Is it a quilt?

The Out Of The Fold exhibition in October 2015 will show 'The Journey Unfolds' gallery seen in 2014 at the Knitting and Stitching Shows in London and Harrogate. In addition there will be a series of new work where each member of the group is taking the idea of a traditional quilt block and interpreting it in their own style.

This is particularly challenging for Caroline Brown as she has no quilting background having trained as an embroiderer. Caroline has tackled this with her usual creative flair and is working on a series of free-form quilted tiles, based on monoprinted designs and heavily stitched. Here is a glimpse of just some of her work in progress - it promises to be a stunning and imaginative piece of textile art.
